May pub natter
After a slow start to the year, it is about time we re-started up our pub natters either on the 2nd Wednesday night of the month or 2nd or 3rd Sunday for lunch? Any one interested?
It would be good to have a local HoE meeting and then a link up with the East Midlands lot either on a Sunday or on a sunny evening.
Any suggestions of venues? - especially as more people seem to be arriving from the Birmingham area.

Re: May pub natter
Sadly the East Midlands meeting seems defunct, but I would be interested popping over for Sunday lunch but not on the second Sunday of May

Re: May pub natter
Timing can be hard to get right for a Sunday lunch but just realised where you will be be Chris on the 2nd Sunday this month As will I - you had better have arranged better weather for this year!!
Sundays have the organised runs so can be hard to fit in a fixed Sunday in a month.
Could always have a Saturday meet if that is more suitable for people - foot ball allowing - but that has not much more to run this year

Re: May pub natter
Thanks to a bit of assistance from Keith think we now have our venue for the join region natter:-
The Queens Head
Main Road,
Newton Regis,
Tamworth
Warwickshire
B79 0NF
Date wise, we have the choice of Sun 18th, Sun 25th or even Mon 26th (bank hol) so I'm happy to go with whichever the majority people prefer.
I can't make 18th myself and the Anglia run is on 25th.
Also planning a Heart of England natter at the Bull Inn, Weston-Under-Wetherley on Wednesday 14th, 7:30pm onwards for anyone who want to come along.

Re: May pub natter
This should be fun to fix a date ......
I can do the 18th, can't do the 25th [on Anglia run] but also can do Monday the 26th
[as bank holiday Monday may need to book or arrive at the pub as soon as it opens 12:00-14:30]
I have added a poll at the top of the post to see if we can easily try to find the date that suits the majority. Individual dates in the post too please so we can sort out a day to suit all.
See you at the HoE natter on the 14th.

Pete
Thought if I added an option to vote for more than 1 day - we would get in an even bigger mess with sorting a 'best' date out between us hence asking for dates in the post too.
Thinking about it now, it might have been better to ask who cant make a certain date??? !!!!

We might be able to make it to either 25th or 26th but our movements for that week are still a bit up in the air!

Re: May pub natter
Good to see some interest but where have all the Midland MGF/TF owners got to?
We must have one of the largest areas (taking into account we have '3' regions in the area), we are the closest to Longbridge BUT we seem to have the least members with probably the largest concentration of cars on the road? A real puzzle
With only 4 votes in - may be there will be a late run of votes still and these will help decide a date?? - the 18th is winning so far by a short head - sorry Steve

Re: May pub natter
You could be right there Chris. Was hoping for a little more interest hence the vote to try and sort out the dates put forward.
Vote 'Swung!!' back to Monday 26th now - isn't it exciting, just like a general election. (Well the lack of votes are any way. lol.) 60% of the minimal votes are now for the 26th!
We are having a HoE natter this Wednesday so I expect date to be chosen then if not before.

Re: May pub natter
The vote was not totally conclusive but 66% (4 out of the 6 votes) were in favour of Monday 26th May. So lets go for that date : 26th May at 12:00.
As it is bank holiday Monday, we may need to ensure we get there early to bag a table or two. If we get many confirming they are attending, we can always book the tables to ensure we have a place to eat.
The Queens Head
Main Road,
Newton Regis,
Tamworth

Had a good HoE natter last night with a 'special guest' from the South Wales region. That is dedication to the F travelling that far for something to eat and drink and on a week day night too It really puts the locals to shame for not attending their local natter. lol.
