Pub Suggestion - Any ideas

Hi Folks

I am traveling up to Huddersfield on Xmas eve and want to stop for a nice pub lunch somewhere mid way.

I am looking for somewhere easy to get to from the M1 say between junctions 22-24

Any thoughts as to where we might stop?

I haven’t been since it had a refurbishment but there is the Otter on the A6 between Hathern and Kegworth, it would mean coming off either at J23 or J24.

Just to let you know we popped into the Otter on Christmas eve and had a bite to eat.

Good choice, its a lovely pub which must be even better in the summer with its position by the river..

That’s a relief, I hate recommending anywhere!

It is a lovely spot as you say even better in the summer, the problem is parking and that section of the A6 is lethal (I thought I would mention that afterwards ).
