mgtf mudflaps do not fit !
hi, i have a 2004 tf and its mint and i intend to keep it that way so i sent off nearly £90 to brown and gammons via ebay for a set of tf mudflaps, they duly arrived and as the car was in for a service and a set of new toyo tyres i asked if they could fit them for me,when i picked the car up i was surprised to be told they dont fit and there was no clips supplied in the box either,i thought naw thats not right so tried myself and despite saying tf on the packaging they were spot on they not only dont fit they dont even nearly fit, brown and gammons feel that myself and the garage are idiots as they should fit and nobody has ever sent them back for this reason so i took them to a bodyshop and they tell me tht :xr they dont even nearly fit either,am i going mad or has this issue cropped up before? thanks in advance

Never had a problem with front flaps on either an F or TF. The front flaps are a different shape to the rears. Post up a photo and well be able to tell if they are correct or flaps for an F.

Hi , sorry for the delay , here are the supposed tf mudflaps supplied by brown and gammons , as you can see when offered up to the car they have huge gaps if fitted with the top of the mudflap being where it should be and also if offered up to be as close to the body as possible , when the fronts are as close to the body as possible you can see the flap hangs down almost to the ground and the rears do not accomodate the kink in the bodywork and do not even nearly fit ,please tell me i have the wrong flaps as it driving me mad
Re: mgtf mudflaps do not fit !
more photos bottom ones are the rear with no cut out for the kink and the front ones at the top trail on the ground if the flap is to fit the body and has a one inch gap at the bottom

Look like a set for an MGF not a TF. This is a front flap for a TF.

Maybe they have sent MGF flaps. Are there any part numbers on the mudflaps or the packaging?

Re: mgtf mudflaps do not fit !
I wouldn't bother with them. At least on the front as they move in use and trap grit etc causing the paint behind to rub off and the cill rusts. I've had 9 F/TF and I've only had them on one and I couldn't believe the state it got in behind them. My recently purchased car has them and it's also rubbed down. They won't be going back on after the cills get painted.
One can never have too many MG's
