Post by Glenn Neilson » Tue Jul 11, 2023 4:54 am

WHEN? Sunday 16th July 2023

MGFun have been invited to the lovely location of Grenta by the 75 and ZT Owners Club to join them at their annual Anglo - Scottish Meet. Whilst this is primarily an Rover 75 and MGZT meet, members are invited to bring their other classics cars too therefore our Fs and TFs will be in the company of other models. When I owned a ZT, I attended this meeting many times before and are pleased MGFun have been invited to attend. The event attracts owners from England who travel north to the meet. More details below.

LEAVING FROM; Palace Grounds Retail Park, Hamilton ML3 6AD at (Starbucks and McDonalds if you want breakfast/tea/coffee before we leave).
DEPART; 9.30am.
ARRIVIN AT GRETNA; 11.30am at the latest.

We will spend the afternoon in Gretna leaving around 4pm.
Uniquely and interestingly, our run to Gretna has been planned to avoid the M74, heading through Larkhall, Abington, Beattock, Lockerbie, Ecclefechan before arriving in Gretna. Most of the run will be on the old M74 (B7076) which is a nice driving road all the way there. We will be passing under or over the M74 10 times!

Route time is 1hr 50mins and only 75 miles. https://goo.gl/maps/3txZZB7NzRsCxjXM9

The location has nice facilities offering food, toilet and we will have our own designated parking area. Gretna Retail Outlet is a very short drive away if you feel the need to shop or look around. I recommend you take a camping seat. Some people have a picnic/packed lunch.
