John,

I didn't check specific names of those rooms booked but I imagine it is fine. Drop them an email if you are concerned.

Well at least that way it does not clash with the long awaited wedding of Stefan and Jenny - which Karin and I should just about be back from Morocco in time to attend!

Ok Folks, it is almost 'Highlander' Time and I am looking forward to seeing you all again. :D
We have some great routes planned for the weekend and hope to shake off this dreadful weather by then.
We will all gather in the Royal Hotel throughout the Friday and enjoy dinner in the hotel that evening.
Please remember to sort out your entry fee with Tim. (there is a link from the Freedom Forum on the Highlander thread). As the roads have been quite badly damaged by the harsh winter, please ensure you do have a spare wheel just in case! We have tried to avoid the worst of it but can't guarantee no-one will encounter some potholes.

******NB: THE HOTEL HAS TWO DOUBLE AND ONE SINGLE ROOM STILL AVAILABLE UNDER OUR BLOCK BOOKING. THESE WILL ONLY BE HELD UNTIL MONDAY 5TH APRIL SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED BOOK NOW!*******

Most of the usual suspects are noted below and a few new faces too. As the base Hotel is right in our backyard, the locals are not residing this year but will join us for runs and meals/drinks etc. Here is the latest list of participants.
Hotel confirmed/booked so far;

1. Tim & Liz Morris
2. Michael & Hilary Ring
3. Jim & Libby Garstang
4. Michael & Amanda Anderson (saturday night)
5. Alan Dunstan & Janet Lauderer
6. Fred (the punk) Driver
7. Paul Bridgeman.
8. Neil Sutton & Katie Stevens
9. Terry & Lynn Garnick
10. Alan & Martine Ledger
11. Steve and June Duxbury
12. Patrick & Ann Beet
13. John & Lyn Ponting
14. Ken & Jeanette Beresford
15. N Skorka-Brown
16. Tony Duthie
17. Simon & Julie Davies
18. Glenn & Susan Neilson (Saturday night)

Daytrippers.

1. Andrew & Vicky MacDowell
2. Alan Dunlop
3. John & Helen Dickson
4. Iain & Anne Mitchell
5. Cammy & Trish
6. Nick & Anne Yarrow

Any queries, please contact me on 07860 198174.

Can't wait, see you soon.

Just had my last whisky to try and soothe my tortured throat - yes I've lost my voice again ! Some say its a blessing but thanks to John Ponting for standing in for me at the speech on Saturday night. Big thanks to Alan and Glenn for sorting out the routes and organisation - I'm sure we've all had a great weekend with LOTS of fine driving and dining.

Hopefully we'll get some pics posted soon as there was some fantastic Trossach and Loch scenery to be seen, and even some pockets of snow still left on the hills. We even had some decent weather - nice and sunny on Saturday and sunny spells today which helped with the topless driving for the whole weekend.

Also thanks to everyone who joined the Freedom of Scotland group for this weekend - judging by the high spirits in the bar I'v just left I think you had a pretty good time !!

Don't forget to post pics in the Photos and Videos section under General heading :thumbsu:
