Dropping stuff off and picking stuff up on Sunday I took the rover cabbie out and met up with itsonlyme54 with Charless and then on to see ChrisRigby. A very pleasent aternoon out. :) Im treating the rover as a 4 seater mgf. ;) lol! :thumbsu:

I have a pscan which may be able to do it. I will be back there at the weekend (and Thursday if you you can do midweek). If you want I will bring it along but I can't guarantee that it can, or how to do it!

Hey Charles, Thanks for the offer. Im not sure im brave enough to try the pscan without knowing what we're doing. Ive seen a few threads where you can end up with more stuff not working than being fixed. :)

Unless someones got the procedure for coding fobs using the pscan?

I’ve done it a couple of times with the PScan, and it works a treat. Just go to the immobiliser section and click on “immobiliser fob programming”. Up comes a window with four buttons, “instructions”, “test horn”, “start fob learning”, and “end fob learning”. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, it’s all there.

Basically, when you start fob learning, the Lucas 5AS will forget all fobs it’s ever known, which includes the one you use to get to Charles in the first place. After putting the system in fob learning mode, press the lock button about 8 times. When the fob is coded in, the horn sounds. Do this for all fobs you wish to be known to the car (don’t forget the original one!) and then click “end fob learning” and you’re done.

Here’s the screenshots on Philips page.

As above for coding, I tried it and it worked.

Can you point to the threads where people have had these problems?

Hi Martin,
OK I finally got the round toit and have hesitantly done one of my Fs last week but easily did a couple of 25s and a 400 over at Tony's today. I am somewhere warm this week but should be back after next weekend. Let me know if you are still after a fob, it is a doddle....
Keep smileydog smiling,
Charles
