Speedometer Problems

Post by dmoore14 » Thu Dec 22, 2016 1:36 pm

Hi all, my speedometer recently stopped working along with my EPAS on my '98 mgf, found a break in top section of the speedometer cable which I have replaced. I also cleaned the EPAS fuse contacts as were pretty messy. I now have power steering again but still no speedometer?? I know the lower section cable is a common problem but would expect a further break to cause no power steering, which as said, is now working! Any ideas anyone??

Hi and welcome to the forum

As you say, if the cable was at fault the EPAS wouldn't work.
