I could be game, but could also be close to getting marching orders or gone (work - should have gone last Friday), so remain customarily vague. On a forecast windy and wet dark evening the known seems more sensible than the unknown.

The Buck's Head appears to be open for business again. So, we might as well meet with the new team, as no one seems to know where Nicki and Connie have gone.

Failing that we could go to the George & Falcon at Warnford, as we did when we found the BH closed at our November meet.

See you soon

Mark

I agree with Mark - let's meet at the Bucks Head at 7 and scope out the new people

I have alerted Chris (and I assume therefore also John !) by text message to our meeting tomorrow night, just in case they are not monitoring this forum channel.

Hopefully one or both of them might join us tomorrow night.

See you soon.

Kind regards
Mark

Chris telephoned me this morning to say that she is still in Shrewsbury attending to a family matter. John may or may not be able to attend this evening.

However, as Chris outlined in her text message to us all in early December, she intends to step down as our regional rep', and will in fact be speaking with Nigel May (Chairman) about this later today.

Chris has asked me if I would take on the role, and so I would like to discuss this with you all tonight.

We need to firstly establish if anyone else in our group also wishes to be considered for the role, and I suggest that we take a vote tonight to identify which candidate has the confidence of the house. That candidate should then be put forward to Nigel and his committee for approval.

I should also disclose that Charles and I have already had a conversation over Christmas about how the role and our region could be developed, and we will be happy to share these thoughts with you all tonight.

See you soon.

Kind regards
Mark

Hello All,
I am in your area and have had MGF's on and off for a few years and would like to get involved in the area so any drive out days etc I would be interested in. I must get along to a Pub meet but that's not always easy on a Thursday night. My Wife and I used to eat in the Bucks Head so know it well and the Izaak Walton in East Meon is also a favourite we sometimes walk to so you have the right places for us!
Just thought I should fly the flag a bit!
I have been out on drives and events with other areas, just not the one I am living in
Thanks,
Andrew.

I've just phoned the Buck's Head to double check that they are open tonight......they are, BUT they're not serving food tonight !!

As some of you probably won't see this message before 7:00pm, may I suggest that we proceed to meet at the BH in the first instance for a drink at 7pm, and then proceed to somewhere else thereafter for food (e.g. The Shoe at Exton, or the George & Falcon at Warnford).

The BH also advise that they will be closing for a few weeks in February for a refurbishment.

See you soon.

Mark

P.S Andrew, welcome to the gang. You're welcome to join us any time.
