We will be holding another video chat night at 7:00pm on Thursday 13th August, this time featuring a virtual treasure hunt using Google Street View

You will each be provided with 10 questions and invited to search Google Street View for the answers.

To maximise the fun at our Thursday 13th August Zoom gathering you will have the choice of playing either a virtual treasure hunt OR a guess the (car related) song competition. We will take a vote once we have gathered to decide which one to play.

Treasure Hunt

The following is the information you will need to participate in our virtual treasure hunt using Google Street View.
It is recommended that you use the Google Chrome browser to gain the best performance from your computer.

There are 10 questions in total. You will have 30 minutes to find all the answers. The winner will be the participant or team who provides the most correct answers.

I will give you the postcode of the search location during our Zoom chat. All of the answers can be found in street view.

The questions are as follows

1) On what day of the week is a harbour tour available at 4:30pm ?

2) On the 23rd of July 2019 at what times were the high tide and low tide ?

3) What was parked in the harbour garage on 4th June 2009 ?

4) What colour is Red Door ?

5) Where does Junior Fortnight take place ?

6) Which restriction is being contravened by Grand Bazar De l'Hotel De Ville ?

7) What type of adventures can you have in a canoe and a kayak ?

8) If you dialled 01243 5123*1 who would you be calling ?

9) In which year did a man mow the tarmac ?

10) Who was selling or fitting windows on the street in June 2019 ?

Guess the song competition

NEW for August is the option to play a guess the song competition instead.

To take part participants take turns at guessing the letters and words to fill in the blanks which make up each song title.

All the songs are either car or driving related, and are well known chart hits. If you've ever listened to a radio in the last 60 years you will definitely know most if not all of them !

Participants will score 1 point for each song title correctly identified, and 1 bonus point for naming the artist. Could it be any easier ?

To take part in this competition you will need to download and print a copy of the quiz sheet attached to this post. Please have a pen to hand to fill in the clues.
