Answers
In descending order of importance:
1. The hydragas unit retaining plate or 'turret' is from the NSR so that the bump stop rubber cone is never going to meet the upper arm in compression to do it's job.
2. The roller foot joint or 'pin' under the hydragas unit has broken up – possibly as a consequence of 1!
3. The damper unit is leaking oil – instant MOT fail but not terribly significant otherwise.
4. The bottom nylock nut is missing from the damper unit.
5. What are the two worst implications of the incorrect part fitted at 1 above?
Bottoming out leading to: -A Damage to suspension geometry.
-B Piercing the rubber diaphragm between hydragas fluid and gas egg.

Re: October video QUIZ night | Thursday 15th October 7:00pm
Thank you to all of you who attended our 15th October Zoom quiz. We had a superb range of questions on this occasion, and learned a good deal along the way too, especially about the rear suspension of an MGF. Thanks Charles !
The scores at the end of the night were as follows;
11 points - Charles
8.5 points - Team Morgan
8 points - Team Cole
6 points - Mark
5 points - John
4.5 points - Chris and also Pete T
So, well done to Charles for being our winner, and for also providing us all with a tutorial on how to maintain the suspension of an MGF.
Kind regards
Mark
