If we do the thursday next month it would be the 13th! I think the smell may be down to the 'happy' cheese Alistair - I've not encountered a more unremakable meeting place reached by less Fable roads.

As usual you are perfectly correct - helps to look at the right page on the calendar!charless wrote:If we do the thursday next month it would be the 13th!
Should have been the Xmas party, but heard nothing with 13 days to go - perhaps some of us can get together anyway, somewhere eg B&RS, 7 Stars, Cheese .....................

Bruce and I would be up for a xmassy gathering if thats ok? Are any of you attending the Natter Sunday if so maybe we can put our heads together then?
I did read somewhere a while ago that Chris was having internet problems So maybe we should take matters into our own hands and organise something before it gets too late?

Re: Bad Smell / Thursday 8 December
B&RS would be better for the likes of Alistair & Carol, Paula & Bruce, Andie, Martink, Bob and Norma etc. 7 stars might be easier for Chris & Helen, Pete, Nick & Abbi, Jon, Richard(No9) and apologies to any one left out. I am cheerful to get to either but I don't think we have time or numbers for a very official one. Weatherwise I am glad it isn't tonight!
If anyone knows how to get hold of Chris with a phone number or work email it might be tactful to see what he thinks.
Any preferences? - we have a couple of weeks.
I'm sure if we flog the dead donkey some more, it may yet arise again - have you got a Phoenix icon Alistair?!!!!!!
Get this, I have pencilled in the fitting of my SS underfloor pipes for tomorrow - no garage - ah well it has to be done!

Some good thinking there Charlie boy! We're up for a bit of a do on the 13th at the 7 Stars if anybody else is...
The smelly one and the B&RS are a bit too far for our liking at this time of year.
No garage Charles? Hope she's under a nice dry cover then!
Chrimbles!

Re: Bad Smell / Thursday 8 December
It has been rather quiet of late . I've been balancing on the edge of two regions since I resigned as rep - SCRR and WoE. James's WoE meets have generally been closer for me to attend, but I have been watching for meets advertised for the SCRR section.
I'd love to join you all on the 13th but can't make it I'm afraid - it's the same night as our orchestra party, a whole bunch of very talented musicians (yes, thats us!!!) are glamming up and enjoying a night out pre weekend concert! If it had been the following week, I may have been able to make it.
Have fun...will see a lot of you - I hope! - at the Dog House tomorrow...x

Re: Bad Smell / Thursday 8 December
Let's pencil that in as a default then Pete, but rather sluttishly, if a huge response posts for the B&RS(as if), I reserve the right to blow you out(with notice and sympathy of course!). Or we could always have a bit of a two venue race evening!
No garage but against the forecast only a couple of squally showers - Job jobbed at long last - my new SS underfloor pipes need to be burned in and the heater is so hot since I bled it, we will have to be top down unless it is pouring. There is a great section on the cross country route from there to the other place called 'Little Switzerland' - you know you will love it; say yes.
Let's not drop the dead donkey just yet, we can still flog some fun out of it!

Re: Bad Smell / Thursday 8 December
Great Charles - let's see what happens now...
Should we add momentum to this by booking a table for the 13th if possible? Places can get kind of solid in December!
Go on Charles be brave and start another thread for this to get rid of Allistair's dodgey but effective title and correct the date...

Pete.
The dodgey title would still be there and we already have an Xmas meet one! But I really don't want to upset things if Chris has plans but no means of diseminating them. The last we all heard was that he was on the point of posting menus....for the Xmas meet. In the Xmas thread it was alleged that the menus and ergo the location were established.
I hope that Paula may have more news from the natter today.
If not, I might use it as a flimsy excuse to purr off there(7*) this week and ask how the bookings R looking. That A272 is very F able. Playing for time....
