Sunday Lunch - Selsey Arms - 29th August 2010
Edit: Title changed to reflect date and location of event.
(Was: Is it time to resurrect the Sunday Lunches Again?)
Now that the end of the busy season is in sight (albeit distantly) is anyone up for Sunday lunch at the Selsey Arms on Sunday 29th August?
There is a Goodwood Breakfast Club on in the morning with the theme of Classic Sunday. I don't think our modern classics qualify to get us in the pit lane but there should still be plenty of other automotive porn to drool over. We could do the Breakfast Club, retire to the Selsey Arms for lunch and then zoom back home along the mighty fine B2041.
Let me know and I'll get it booked. Will need to book early as it's Bank Holiday weekend.

Hi John
The Goodwood Breakfast on the 29th is for "Classics - pre-1966". Now if the weather's nice ESK'ie could fit in for that breakfast and we would need lunch wouldn't we...

Thanks, Pete. Not sure why I put the 25th. I've changed my original post to reflect the correct date.
Lunch would be good. Let's hope for good weather.

This sounds like a good way to spend a Sunday. Classic cars, eating, drinking, driving and socialising.
Count us in.

Which Selsey Arms ?
PO18 0QX
or
RH13 8QJ
I'm possibly up for the lunch. As long as it's the PO18 0QX one - the other has awful reviews.

Having just read a couple of reviews of the RH13 one I'm pleased to inform you that it is the PO18 one we are referring to. None of the problems of the RH13 one there.
Be good to have you along.

My understanding is the list so far is:
John and Chris
Pete ad Julie
Malcolm and Monica
Ruth.
I'm away this week so will get Chris to book a table for 7 on or around Wednesday. Unless, of course, there are any more takers before then?

Sorry folks - I will be on holiday in France, hopefully enjoying the local cuisine and beverages!
Enjoy yourselves in my absence (will undoubtedly be the best meet of the year) and I will be back for the BH meeting.
Cheers
Alistair

Sorry guys - include me out.
I need to visit a friend who's not doing so well, and Sunday is the only day it can be done.
Enjoy your lunch.....and I'll see you on Tuesday.

Re: Sunday Lunch - Selsey Arms - 29th August 2010
As always, a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Some lovely cars at the breakfast club and finishing off at the Selsey Arms was a nice way to round the morning off.
Got home to watch the Grand Prix to discover that the Sky box had bombed out agin (it messed up the footy yesterday as well ) so will have to wait for the highlights this evening. Still got 633 Squadron to keep me going till then.
See you on Tuesday evening at the Dolphin. Snorkers. Good-ho!!!
