MG 80
Just received the latest SF today and realised that the MG 80 celebration date is looming (16th / 17th October). Just wondered if the SCRR had any plans for the event? I noticed in SF that AWC are one of the centres who have signed up, but not sure what this means in practice.
Anyone any thoughts?
PS: Doms' MG ZT is still in many pieces in the garage, still no sign of a short, but we have a new lead which will be checked out tomorrow.

Re: MG 80
This one has crept up on us a bit whilst busy elsewhere.
I've seen the article in SF but haven't had chance to read it fully yet. It would be nice to get involved. Not sure we are doing anything as a Register but if not it may be an idea to join in with the AWC.
Give me a day or so to get over the Wirral weekend and catch up a bit and we'll see what we can come up with.
Thanks for the reminder Nigel.
Hope Dom gets his car back in one piece soon.

Nigel, details of the AWC involvement are in fact on page 19 of SF, middle section by the Centre badge. The run goes from Stevenage, lunch at Aston Rowant, finishing with tea at Kimber House. Further details ( presumably entry forms etc) to follow.

Re: MG 80
Ah, thanks for that Bob. Should have read the rest of the mag first!! Sounds like this would be a really good run to attend. funnily enough, before you had pointed me in the right direction I was thinking of suggesting a local run - jobs done though - who else is coming with me then?BobF wrote:Nigel, details of the AWC involvement are in fact on page 19 of SF, middle section by the Centre badge. On an unrelated note, tonight we have found the short in Doms ZT electrics - buried of course in the most inaccessible place but now fixed and slowly rebuilding the car again (at least it will start now!).
Won't be at the BH tomorrow, but catch up with you all soon.
