Sunday Lunch - Proposed Dates
As the Summer has pretty much drawn to a close it's time to look ahead to the Autumn Winter months and hopefully some fine Sunday Lunches at some of the many fine hostelries in our region.
I'm already looking at a couple of venues for the end of October and have a couple of ideas for beyond that.
Dates I'm looking at are:
31th October 2010 (Clocks go back this weekend)
28th November 2010
30th January 2011
27th February 2011
27th March 2011 (Clocks go forward this weekend)
Nothing planned for December yet, as it's usually busy with other things going on, although I'd quite like to squeeze something in between Xmas and New Year as it always seems a bit of a dead time to me. Besides it will give Pete an opportunity to show off his Christmas Jumper.
Any obections/suggestions/ideas? Please let me know - I'm always on the lookout for new ideas.

Re: Sunday Lunch - Proposed Dates
Great to see the proposed dates for our winter lunches. Any excuse to blow the cobwebs out of the exhaust are welcome.
I guess Bob will be putting on his hard top when the clocks change. Mine will probably follow soon after, depending on our weather.
Sorry to hear ( via another topic ) that Ruth has had a little bump in her LE500 - let's hope she soon gets it sorted, without too much hassel.
See you all this Thursday at the Bucks Head.

Hard top? What is this hard top of which you speak? (Have I got it right this time Ruth? )
Don't worry, Ruth. I'm looking to vary the locations of the Sunday meets so some will be closer, some will be further away. There should be something to suit most people.

Good. It's been a long time since my last proper sunday roast.
Oh - and yes - that is the correct way to refer to the Southern Soft Cissy Optional Comfort Blanket
of which we spoke earlier.

What is this hard top thing of which ye people speak?
I have no such thing, said top on car is for putting down, how is this done if said top is "hard".
Seriously though, it was great driving around, top-down in the sun & the snow last winter, why on earth would you want to not be able to do that!!
Looking forward to some Sunday lunches though. Definitely can't make the 31st as I am heading to Ruths stamping ground oop north.

Re: Sunday Lunch - Proposed Dates
Missed this bit originally. A meet between Xmas & new year would be great. I met up with a group of TVR's a couple of years back a Beaulieu during that same period and was really envious that they were having a social run & get together. Count me in!!sparky135 wrote:Nothing planned for December yet, as it's usually busy with other things going on, although I'd quite like to squeeze something in between Xmas and New Year as it always seems a bit of a dead time to me. my car but photographed on a very dull chilly day at the end of the production line.
I don't have a pic of mine with the blankie removed because I don't have a camera.
I haven't yet found one that will make me a decent cup of coffee and give me an Indian Head Massage.

I shall be Up North until the 29th December, but it would be good to eat and drink the New Year in with the Lunatic Fringe.NigelS wrote:Missed this bit originally.
