Pub Meet in Oxon - 9th March
For our March pub meeting, we'll be returning to the Lamb & Flag, Faringdon Rd, Longworth, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX13 5HN. The meeting time will be approximately 11.30am. Click here for a map.
I'm sure Rich will arrange a convoy for a scenic route to the pub.
As they can get quite busy on a Sunday, they are going to give us the staff car park for us to put all of our MGs together. So, as you go in the car park, you'll see a gate on the left which is for us to use. They have also asked if we could wait until the first sitting for food is over with, which I think last time we were able to get in to eat at about 13:30. They would also like to know rough numbers so they can make sure the keep back space in the restaurant area for us.
Names for the convoy or just for the meeting can be posted here, and please also indicate if you would like the excellent carvery.
Let's hope the weather is better this time!
Stewart.

Hopefully there will be a convoy for me to hook up with. I'm awful with directions and I don't even have a Tom Tom!
See you all soon.

PS, I must remember to stay sober the night before, I HATE driving with a hangover!!!!!!

So the other pub didn't work out then...
No problem... The Lamb & Flag is a nice place and I for one am happy to be returning. Can Kate have the rocking chair again?
Rich.

Re: Pub Meet in Oxon - 9th March
Maxine, be great to see you. Don't forget you'll be back in oxford the week after for the AGM and then the karting!
Rich, the other pub is still an option for sometime in the future, but when I went there last night I arrived and it was shut, so I went to the Lamb and Flag to arrange with them instead!
I'll promote this to others in Oxford, so hopefully we can get a mix of old and modern cars.
As for the rocking chair, it'll be first come first served!!!

Chas, which route are you considering? I would like to have an impressive convoy over and may be able to plan a merge point.

That sounds like a great idea, you should def try to have a merge point if the timings suit.

Re: Pub Meet in Oxon - 9th March
Thought of that already but it might be a little out of the way for MKers. They would probably go via Old Stratford to Buckingham and on to Bicester. Let's see what Chas says...
Lee, is Debs coming?

Hi Rich
I had planned to take the A421 from MK past Buckingham and through Bicester onto the A41 and A34 to Oxford. Could meet up with you somewhere in Brackley if you're taking the A43 although I don't really know the place.

Re: Pub Meet in Oxon - 9th March
Just me this weekend. Moira is working
Chas, we went through Brackley the last time we went to the Lamb & Flag. Brackley has a huge car park in the middle of it in front of the Town Hall. If you are coming in from Buckingham you cross over the roundabout on the by-pass on the A43 just after you go through Westbury. Go up the hill to the traffic lights and take a left. The car park is on your left and has a few entrances in to it.
Cheers
David

That sounds good, what time do you expect to pass through Brackley then?
