SmS at Duxford, 24th May 2008

It had been suggested a couple of times that we have a trip out to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford to see the fantastic aviation collection. Well, over on the Brit-Cars forum, they are planning to do just that and after posting an idea to them, we're now doing it together!

We'll have a convoy over... Details to be confirmed but it will be planned with a couple of stops to suit everyone.

Rich - There is another event at Duxford on May 4th - the Classic and Sports car show - anyone going to that or is it the same thing and the date is wrong.

I got a Christmas present of a flight in a tiger moth from the wife and I have to book the day I want to go. It would be nice to combine it with an MG event.

No, this is a seperate event that has been organised by Brit-Cars. We've just joined them for a day out and as far as I know there isn't any shows or anything. Are you interested in joining us?

I've just booked by Tiger Moth Flight for 12.45pm - Should be able to get some good photos of you lot from up there.
Karen and I will see you there - what time are you all getting there?

Sounds excellent! We'll take pictures of you as you fly past. Glad you'll be in a Tiger Moth as it'll give me a chance to focus in! :lol:

I'm not sure what time we're meeting yet, but I've just posted on the BritCars forum to ask. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Sorry not to be there - I hope you all had a great time - I called Duxford early Saturday Morning and was told my Tiger Moth Flight had to cancelled as high winds were forcast.

I have to ring them again later this week to book a new date.
