For April, we're trying out a new venue. It's the
Green Man, just past Silverstone Circuit (coming from Towcester) on the A43. It's quite a large pub and has the advantage of a Premier Inn out the back... It opens at 12noon but we'll meet up in the car park at 11.30 so we can get the best seats! Apparently, it gets very busy very quickly. We'll see how it goes!
Details of the venue, as usual, can be found on the
SmS website ...
Names again please!
Attendees:
Rich & Kate
Maxine
Nick
Stewart
Lee (& Debs possibly?)
Adrian
Stuart
Dave D
Mikecvc (??)

Max, you can park on the other side of the dual carriageway...
Why is that rude to Kate? I thought those who drink too much may find it of interest if they need to sleep it off!
Rich.

I just thought you may have wanted to look at them - obviously NOT! So I won't bother bringing them then!
Anyway, back to the permier lodge thing....I thought you were implying people sneek off to partake in "the sexuals" LMAO!!

Shows where your mind is then... Are you trying to lower the tone of our otherwise virginal group?
Rich.

I'll be there, nothing to do with 'room availability', just feeling guilty having stupidly missed the Oxford meet last Saturday. I want to show off my Trophy rear spoiler and 52mm throttle body courtesy of the Stoneliegh show
.... and see what Stu has done to his F

Stu it's either a case of great minds, or fools seldom differing?
Seriously I'm running out of things to do that are within my budget, just got to get an enclosed induction kit left and that's about it...need a new set of Toyos before that though.
Maybe I'll need to think of a secret mod too...I have a contact in South Africa and know that over there some people have 'flamethrowers' out the side of their cars to prevent carjacking (and they are legal)...now that should win a glow car competition!

Just for ideas!!!! quote from the press over there
The Flame Blaster consists of a small, 3-liter container of petroleum gas, which is typically mounted in the trunk of the vehicle, and nozzles fitted under the front doors of the vehicle. The electronic ignition system of the Flame Buster is activated by pushing a button (located near the foot pedals), resulting in three-meter long jets of burning liquid petroleum being thrown from both sides of the vehicle. The Blaster can be used five times before the gasoline tank needs to be refilled. The intensity of the blast can be set to individual' motorists' preference and the flames have been shown to cause no paint or other damage to the car. The system is not intended to kill assailants but rather to distract them and afford motorists the chance to escape a potentially life-threatening situation. The biggest drawback of the Flame Blaster is its high risk of injuring innocent passersby. Still, the device is completely legal when used for purposes of self-defense.

Self defense ? Which side of defence is that ?
I'll put this date on the calendar before something else gets there, ie the Mother-in-law !

I'll be there with Moira, shifts allowing.
Max, I for one would love to see your Dad's MGB.
I hope you weren't bringing the B because there is something wrong with the F
Rich, are we having a mini convoy again?
Cheers
David

Hi Dave, long time no speak! Hope you liked the updated avatar I did for you whilst busy doing everyone elses... Let me know if you want a banner too!
Didn't think we really needed a convoy to Silverstone but if you want to meet at the Toby again, we can if you like... I just hope not everyone is going to arrive in an MGB. We're trying to promote the 'modern' cars...!
Rich.
PS I notice you haven't joined the 'other' forum yet...
