SmS at the Pride of Longbridge Rally, 12th April 2008

The third annual Pride of Longbridge Rally is being held on Saturday, 12th April 2008.

A procession of Longbridge-built cars will gather from 10am at junction 2 of the M42 (Hopwood Services) and at around 11am start to leave for the Longbridge factory at 'Q' Gate and Cofton Park.

We attended last year and the event was a fantastic day out with loads of interesting vehicles to see and many interesting people attending too... So we're going again! Names for a convoy please...

Well as I will be going directly to Cofton Park to assist Tim in setting up the MGF Register stand, somebody else will have to lead the convoy. A possibility could be to jump onto the East Anglia convoy which is heading along the A14. I know it's been suggested that the Essex Roadsters hitch on as well as they are planning to use the same route... My suggestion would be to meet at Telford Lodge, Kettering, as then it's not too far out of the way.



You'll still need a time to meet there though, so I'll ask Jon Tully when they are likely to pass there.

According to other folk on the forum here, the run leaves Hopwood Services at 11am, and the Midlands guys are heading up at about 10am to ensure a space in the car park. So it's over to Lee to decide your meeting place and time as he's offered to lead. I think the hookup at Kettering may not work as well, looking at the list of who's going, but it's up to you...

I've done that a few times, when I have had to move the car to a different parking space, and couldn't be faffed for the window to defrost Always wondered what it would look like.
