Events 2015

Post by garytipping » Tue Feb 24, 2015 5:22 pm

Hi All,

Please see below a list of events that we could attend individually or as a group. Most of them are not too far away. MG Live and the Silverstone Classic, are both great events and right in our area. If you get the discount code from MGCC and book soon for the classic you will get discounted tickets and infield parking on the MGCC stand. I'll be there all 3 days as usual.

Please take special note of the Chairman's Weekend in April and MG20 August.

March 2015

1st - Stoneleigh International MG & Triumph show
29th - MGCC Race Meeting - Mallory Park

April 2015

18th - Pride of Longbridge
25th & 26th Chairman's Weekend/AGM/Awards Dinner/Road run to Black Country Museum
25th - MGF Register AGM (MG Sales Centre, Longbridge) & Awards dinner
26th - Chairman's run to Black Country Museum

May 2015

2nd, 3rd & 4th - Donington Historic Festival - *Club stand & discounted tickets.
31st - MGCC Race Meeting - Donington Park

June 2015

7th - MGs in the Park - Cotswolds Wildlife Park
12th, 13th & 14th – Cholmondeley Pageant of Power - *Club stand & discounted tickets
(not in our region but we normally have a good turn out of midlands members at this event)
20th & 21st - MG Live!

July 2015

24th, 25th & 26th - Silverstone Classic - Join MG Car Club stand

August 2015

1st - MGF20

September 2015

26th & 27th The Sywell Classic - This one is right in our area. If there is enough interest I'll investigate having a club area, so let me know.

Some feedback to let me know if anyone is interested would be much appreciated.

Hi Gary,

I could be up for....

MG's in the park 7th of June

MG Live 20th-21st of June

Sywell Classic 26th-27th of Sept (I might even get my bike out of mothballs for this one? If I can talk her-in-doors into driving the MGF?)

My attendance is assuming that I've finished tinkering with my MGF by then? ;)

Regards Jez

PS.... Are there any less formal meets planned? i.e. a pint at a country pub on a weekday eve or weekend? Maybe even a run down to Jacks Hill Cafe on the A5 for one of their many car shows/general meet ups? It doesn't have to be anything that req's a huge amount of organisation. Just try to pick a dry eve & somewhere with a big carpark & proper beer! :thumbsu:

Hi Jez,
Thanks for your post sorry for the slow reply. I emailed all the members I have addresses for yesterday, proposing a meet at Jacks Hill Cafe, either on Friday 8th May, which is a CLassic Car night from 6:00pm or for breakfast around 9:00am Sunday 10th May. We have some that can make the Friday and some the Sunday so I'll be doing both. Hope you can make one of them.

Do the Mgf register have your email address? Or could you please mail me on southmidlands@mgfregister.org and I can make sure you get any events on mail as well as the forum.

I'll be posting some pub meet ideas shortly.

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary,

Cheers for the reply.

I've sent you two emails to the address supplied but both have been bounced back? Is your MGF Forum email address above correct?

Hi Folks,

Anyone from the Northants area going to MG's in the park at the Cotswold wildlife park this coming Sunday?

Are we having any kind of club stand? Or is it just a case of parking with the other punters & walking in?

Regards Jez

Hi Jez,
I'm leaving on Sunday for a driving holiday around Spain and Portugal, so won't be able to make this one.
It will be great day if the weather lasts.

I'll be in touch as soon as I'm back from holiday.

Regards

Gary
