Hi All,
It's been a quiet year with regard to MGF & TF activity in the region. I have attended a few events, sometimes in the company of David Hatherly in his TF. We went to a few events at Bicester Heritage, MG Live, The Silverstone Classic, Sywell Classic and several MG lunch runs. We also went to both the Beachamton and Chesham pride of ownership BBQ's. These were great events with plenty of F's and TF's,it would be great if we can get a few more of you to join in next year!

Get in touch, I'll have a go at organising whatever you fancy.

Look forward to your replies.

Gary

Hi Gary

Just to let you know there is somebody out there! I live in South Northants.

I have to say that I regard my current F as more of a summer daily fun car rather than one that I take to events, especially as it isn't a pristine example. Also, I'm the Events Secretary for the Austin Maxi Owners Club (well, somebody's got to do it!), so tend to take my Maxi to general "classic" car shows. That said, I did take my F to MG Live this year and also on the Abingdon Works Centre Autumn Leaves Run. I have entered it into the Milton Keynes Classic Tour on 10th April next year, and will probably take it to Pride of Longbridge (assuming the weather is better than this year's!). I expect to also go to MG Live again next year, and am even contemplating having a go at the California Cup tests as they looked good fun this year (although I have never attempted anything like it before, and will probably make a complete fool of myself!).

I confess that the traditional pub meet / natter type of events that are the backbone of the MGCC do not particularly appeal to me. I'm always happy to consider any (reasonably) local classic car event; but with a lot of other things usually going on during the season it might not be possible to attend. Probably of most interest to me would be a road run, but I fully understand these need the commitment of a lot of people to make them viable. But whatever you do, I hope you will have sufficient interest and support.

Steve

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply, I'll post anything I think we can join in with on here and also email to anyone I have an address for. I appreciate the season gets a bit congested, I also belong to the Westfield Sports Car Club. I'll post this separately as well but January 8th is the first Bicester Heritage Sunday Brunch. It would be good to get a few of us over there. The MGF Register are booked in, so entrance is £4.00 + booking, and we will have a dedicated parking area. Always great events with plenty of classics to see.
Hope to catch up soon.
Gary
