MGF Servicing specialist

Post by Rich554466 » Fri Jul 11, 2014 1:24 pm

Hi all, I've recently acquired an MGF 75th Anniversary edition and whilst I've used a garage to get it through the mot I would like to take the car to a specialist. Anybody recommend somewhere, I'm based in Abergavenny at the moment. Thanks

Fixed garages are thin on the ground, might be worth contacting on of the mobile guys.

I would agree, book one of the mobile guys what they don't know about the cars is not worth knowing.
Also they will only do what needs doing. I know of several occasions when they were booked to fix a hgf but found minor problems such as a split hose or manifold gasket that needed replacing.

I wouldn't touch mobile with a barge pole having seen the results of the work of one of them :(

Wow..that's a pretty damning statement of all mobile mechanics...a bit like me saying all main dealers are rubbish.....from others posts I would say that it's atypical..many/most have had superlative service from mobile operators..

Perhaps it would help steer the op in the right direction to be a big more specific/less generalistic?

Russell www.mgroversolutions.com comes highly recommended by lots of owners. Alternatively take a trip over to AE Wilcox at Wickwar, just north of Bristol.
