Sunday run 23rd August
Andy is planning a run for 23rd August.
Looking to start in Usk, onto Chepstow, tintern, touch Forest of Dean, going onto Whitchurch then towards Hereford and down to Abergavenny. Can incorporate a lunch stop if that is what people want
Who is interested
He has picked our only free weekend in August so we should be up for it.
There is quite a gathering with approx7 cars already -anyone else want to join us?

Details finalised for the run for 23rd now
(For those of you who are on Facebook, info can also be found on our group there - https://www.facebook.com/events/812208192226743/
A circular run starting in Usk, taking a run up to Jo's Cafe (formerly Highway Star) at Symonds Yat before heading over to Broadoak for lunch. Finishing off then with a trip via some twisties and back to Usk.
Numbers for lunch are quite limited due to the number of bookings the pub already has for the day, so confirmations would be appreciated where possible.
Meeting initially at Usk firestation NP15 1SE for 10.30am (toilets will be available but I can't guarantee the kettle will have been boiled for coffee!) with lunch booked for 2pm so would expect to be back in Usk for somewhere around 4.30pm or so.
A quick and basic map of the route:
And a few of the things you might see along the way:

Re: Sunday run 23rd August
Thanks Col, hopefully we'll get some sun so we can make the most of the fabulous view over the estuary from the pub
For this run on we were only able to book 18 seats for lunch due to the popularity of the pub choice for lunch - there should be seats available in the pub for extras, but we can't guarantee whereabouts they'll be in relation to those we've booked.
With those confirmed already we're at 16 now with a couple of 'maybes', but if anyone would like to come along just for part of the run even if they don't want lunch, they'd be more than welcome
1. Jan
2. Andy
3. Clara
4. Stavros (John?)
5. Andrew
6. Cherie
7. Oz
8. Louise

11. Roger
12. Matt
13. Barry
14. Barry's daughter
15. Steve
16. Dee

Run only:

For this run we were only able to book 18 seats for lunch and we've had 18 confirmations in total so we're fully booked for pre-booked lunch places now. Extras are welcome along but may be seated slightly separately and there's a chance of a delay in food orders.

Re: Sunday run 23rd August
Thanks all for braving the weather today, and with the distance that a lot of you traveled to join us it was a great turnout
Here's a few of my pics from the day -
Initial meet up at my work place, it'll feel quite empty there tomorrow!
Some lovely driving weather..
Coffee stop at Jo's Cafe on the A40 at Symonds Yat
A few more miles through the rain took us to the pub lunch stop with their 'had to be seen to be believed' deserts
Excellent parking area in the overflow car park
Seeing as the rain had dried up (after a very thorough roof down soaking!) on the return leg, we called into Raglan Castle for a couple of extra photos
