Norfolk Riveria Run - December 27th

I know that it is a bit early to be thinking about Christmas :D but............

The MGCC Anglia are doing a tour round the Norfolk coast on December 27th - just the perfect thing to blow out the cobwebs after boxing day.

Last year it was a run from Birchanger (IIRC - I missed the start and joined on route) to Sandringham -where there was Ice skating and a very Old Skool Christmassy atmosphere - you can imagine what it was like. Oh and there was a few MG's :thumbsu:

This year they are starting from Sandringham - Is anyone up for joining in on the Winter run this year?

An application form is in the October edition of Safety Fast, but I have scanned in a copy for you in case (like me) you don't like to cut up your magazine.

Jon, details of this, and an entry form, are on page 51 of the current Safety Fast. It starts from Sandringham at 9.30 and finishes at Gressenhall Museum of Norfolk Rural Life. Entry forms to be in by the 30th November.

Excellent :D

Cheers for the further info Adrian. It looks as if they are reversing the route this year. I am not at home at the moment - and haven't read SF as yet  I will see if I can scan a copy of the application form in later.

Cheers

Hi Simon,

Hope you are well. What are you doing posting in our region? We've poached a South Mids F'er LOL :D You're most welcome anyway.

To complete the application form you needed to print off the application form - as it couldn't be submitted electronically. I just photocopied it from Safety Fast, in case people didn't want to tear up their magazine. No worries though, I have sent the info to the organisers so it should all be in hand. If there are any problems I will let you know, but it should all be OK :) .

Look forward to seeing you there.

Cheers

Jon

If any one fancies meeting up for a convoy into the start at Sandringham estate, join us at the car park at:

Sportsman Pub
70 Main Road,
West Winch,
King's Lynn,
PE33 0LY

Image

Click here for directions to the Sportsman Pub.

The plan is to leave the Sportsman at 09:15 to get to sandringham for 09:30 - so aim to get to the Sportsman for 09:10 :)

Let us know if you are joining us there, so that we don't drive off without you.

Cheers

Jon

Yep it was a good day out :xmas: , and I will be sending my thanks, and the positive feedback, on to the organisers. I am really chuffed that I managed to get some top down action over Christmas :xmas:

I took some photos - click here to have a look.

It was really good to see some of the classics brought out for the run. I didn't see any RV8's though. Presumably all tucked up safe for Winter? I couldn't believe that my car was the dirtiest, by the time we met up in the morning - when I had to travel the least distance  Bloomin Fen roads

My sat nav took me on a really strange route back from Gressenhall on to the A47, through some streams and all sorts. I bet you I couldn't find those roads again if I tried. I managed to ground the car on mud quite a few times :x

When I got back home the car was in a sorry old state:

See you on the next one!

Jon,
I pulled an RV8 out of my Badger hoover when i cleaned the car

There are rumours they exist in East anglia but they are shy and retiring creatures they hide in garages during the winter months.
