Re: Wales weekend
Arrived Friday evening and took a tour of the bay, just to remind ourselves how gorge it is.
The Big Pit was awesome next day, and so was the guide 'Peter'. Made you think a alot about what has gone on in our history and how easy life is for us now, even though we don't think so at times.
The road run was very adventurous. Quite tragic that the rain, and the consequences of ,had quite substantially damaged parts of the road to the extent that we had to park or F's/TF's up at the side of the road and thank - Keith, Alan & Jeanette, and the other guy in the silver F for guiding us through an area of the run that had been churned up by the force of the water. If you weren't there, you would never believe it.
We got together at the 'Monkey Tree' on Saturday night and had a crackin' meal and great evening, meeting old friends and new.
Dave's choice of parking at the bay on Sunday morning couldn't have been better. We were blessed with a dry and, mainly bright day, and everyone had the chance to catch up and discuss the previous day.
All in all, we would just like to say thankyou to all the SWMGF crew for organising such a fantastic event and making everyone so welcome.
Looking forward to seeing you all again in October.
