Hi, This is my first post on here but I am sure I shall become established.
I have just bought a project MGF that is in need of many things to make it loved again.
One of the first jobs is to pump up the suspension so I can safely move it about.
It is lower than a snakes belly at the moment, so need to borrow a pump (if anyone is willing to lend me one). The car is not going anywhere without a "lift up".
Can anyone help... please?....
Regards
Johnathan

Not really too helpful, but I bought one of the "grease gun conversion" pumps off ebay for about £50 and did my own. Dead easy to do. Pump has paid for itself many times over.
If you intend keeping an F for a while I recommend getting one.

Yeah saw the link to the garages that do the pump up. However the car wont move (HGF) and has no insurance/tax so couldnt drive it anyway.
I am going to make my own pump/vacuum system as the ones for sale are just a ridiculous price for what they do.. and I am to keep the car a few years and apparently the suspension needs re filling fairly frequently.
Thanks
Johnathan

Hi Johnathan and welcome,
Don't know of anyone in the area, you could be the first. I don't refill mine that often - maybe once a year at most at local garage. Having access to your own would be extremely useful, especially if you want to top it up in the winter. Good luck with building the pump.

I don't see any problems building your own pump. The one I bought has a pressure gauge fitted but as we tend to use the height of the wheel arch from the centre of the front wheel I don't use it.
If you need any info or photos of the one I have let me know.
