Hi Nigel,

It looks tempting, but not sure if I can get the time off work.

Not sure if you ever met David. He did Snetterton for the first time last year and did a write up on our old forum, which you might find interesting: http://fregister.proboards37.com/index. ... 1176541888

Of course if you speak to Debs I am sure she could give you lots of good info.

Cheers

Jon

I am down for Snetterton; I was the first on the list! It will be my first track day and I am really looking forward to it. I can't give you any tips but I will guarantee that you will love it.

I attended North Weald with 'MGs on Track' last Friday and that was a great experience. I am sure that I will get more out of Snetterton and subsequent track days as a result.

See you there!

Stewart

I may well do Snetterton, so if I do I am happy to sit in with you and show you the lines, apexes, braking points, etc.

I used to be an 'ARDS Instructor'. I don't have my 'Ticket' any more since I let it lapse.

I still have my 'Race License' though.

So, sitting in with a 'Track Day Virgin' is no problem - I've sat in with far worse!

If you want me to sit in with you it's no problem. I know I can teach you how to drive Snetterton! :D

Hi Dave

Welcome - It is good to see you on here.

I for one will be keen to learn from your previous experience of Snetterton. There is no danger of making a pratt of yourself; you are amongst friends - we will only learn from the experience (which ever way we end up facing!!). :thumbsu:

Cheers

Stewart

Nigel,

I am now booked into Snetterton for the Track Day.

I suggest you sit in with me on my first session and I will show you the lines.

After that, if you wish, I will sit in with you and critique you round the course - by the end of the day you will be flying round what is an awsomely fast circuit :)

Jon,
I am not much of a journalist so a write up is out of the question but i can tell you that it was a fantastic day both weather wise and for the adrenalin rush there is nothing to beat it,screaming down the back straight at 110 MPH in 4th 7000 RPM brake hard 100 Yds before down to 3rd hard left 7200 RPM a quick shift down to 2nd hard right and out towards the bomb hole all the time pressing down on the "Loud pedal" ( A new term i learnt from Debs  )

I can recommend it to anyone who really wants to discover the limits & capabilitys of their F/TF

I need to say a big thank you to Debs for all the help and advice she gave me :thumbsu: :thumbsu: as you can see from the pics by the end of the day a 600+ HP SV was no match for Black Magic

Hmm, that SV was not 600+ BHP. It wasn't even the 380 that was claimed on the MGoT event list.

It was another great day on track. I spent most of the afternoon chasing down a BMW M3. Every time I caught up with it the B V8s would come up behind me and I would then have to let them past, loosing ground to the Beamer. My ZS was out accelerating it down the straights and was equal to it around the bends.
