Essex Roadsters Summer BBQ 18/05/2013

Post by Nicole » Wed Feb 20, 2013 4:44 pm

Title edited to include date :thumbsu: DT.

Hi guys,

It is coming around again - the annual ER Summer BBQ. I just wanted to get it in the diary so we don't book something else. I have in mind the 18th May or the 25th May. I thought those were good days as I don't think anything was planned.

What we could do is plan for the 18th and if weather is bad then plan for the 25th. What does everyone think to these dates? It should be far enough in advance so that we can get the date in the diary. Even if it does rain it won't spoil the fun!

Would love to have another run - I am willing to help sort out a drive, if someone was willing to help me out with it. Please let me know if you fancy making up a run for the day with me.

We could also make this - cheeky I know - a little celebration for Luke's treatment being finished. Anyone is welcome to stay as there is plenty of room for tents in the back garden and it will be first come first serve for my spare bedrooms.

Hopefully we can get some replies asap and then confirm the date. I will be posting on Facebook too with the date of the 18th - I can change it once we agree....

Nicole

Hi All,
The 18th looks best with the majority. (Col you have a room if you can make it and help would be much appreciated again) Bill and I are going to be mapping out a run and it should be fun. More details to come closer to the date.

I will be collecting monies for the food once again and I think if I get everything again this year as we are going to be out on a run it would be easiest. It will be the regular stuff and please tell me if you are vegetarian so I can accommodate everyone's requirements.

Can we start a list? Once it gets started I will pick a date for the monies to be collected. So looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back to normal.

This sounds tempting ... at the moment the whole weekend (Whitsun) is still free for me. I have to check with the Family and the piggy bank.

Any room for a North Londoner? It'd be nice to meet up with some Essex folk (I already know Darren from this very forum, so that may not quite count).

Come and have a chat at Brooklands on Sunday ?

The BBQ is at Nicole's house, it would be for her to invite anyone, drop her a pm or e mail she's quite busy and doesn't get on the forum too often.

It will be a great day :-)
Keep fingers crossed that we have good and warm weather for the weekend.
It´s not real fun to drive about 350 miles in rain ;-)

Hi Mykel,
Don't you worry, I will save you guys some food. Will be doing it in shifts as some others can't make it until much later in the evening and I am sure I will be hungry again.

Have a save journey and looking forward to seeing you guys again.
