Hi guys,
Anyone know about an MG Rover day on the 15th June at the Halfway House? Just been told about it, but don't know any more?
Here's a thread on this: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=184297
Cheers

Rob, the south east group meet there regularly as the flyer says. We have been there to see them but, for us, there is little F/TF interest and we have found them not to really be interested in the past, they appear to be saloon based.
The Halfway House was one of the two pubs used by the Essex Roadsters before we moved on due to lack of interest.
We also have an Anglia Centre event on that day in Suffolk.

Thanks Adrian. You're right- that meet does seem heavily saloon biased - mostly R75/ ZT based?
Sorry to hear that the ER group no longer meet at the Halfway House - that was the most convenient meet location for me! Where do you guys meet these days?

No problem with the new meeting places for you Rob, but slightly further for you. Most of our members are from central Essex although several travel from the east of London.
1st Thursday of the month the Lodge in Rettendon, it's off the A130 at the Rettendon Turnpike, follow the A132 Burnham Road for about one mile and turn left at the island opposite Hayes Leisure Park. Easily accessible from the A12 take the A130 south.
The 2nd Thursday of the month we invade the Anglia Centre natter at the Ship on the B1007 Stock Road, again off the A12 Galleywood exit follow the road south for about one mile and turn left just after the Shell station into the pub.
The 3rd Thursday of the month sees us at the Toby Carvery, again take the A130 south from the A12 to the Rettendon Turnpike, take the A132 in the opposite direction (towards Wickford), the pub is half a mile on the right hand side.
All have adequate parking and good food.
I am looking at an alternative to spread the area slightly, we have overfiledl the seating at the Toby Carvery so have a look on the forum if you are thinking of popping along to see the neighbours or give me a call first. We understand the Halfway House has recently been refurbished so we're going to have a look and see for ourselves one evening.

Hi Adrian
It would be good for us if you did go back to The Halfway House or a slightly more westerly pub meet ... it would bring us Herts/North London peep's within a more comfortable range to come over and visit.

Hi Dave, only if it's good enough. I'll let you know when we've been there.
