Unfortunately I don't think it is used very much anymore! It might be worth talking to Andy P as to how they communicate now!

Shame as it used to be one of the best sites for car info, seems that all of the old faces have gone.

I think you'll find most have gravitated to Facebook like a lot of areas have which is not necessarily a good thing
Unfortunately I’ve migrated to Facebook like most people.

Re: Does anyone use the Eesex forum ?
And that's the trouble if you come on here you can see what other regions are up to but on fbook if it's a closed group & you're not a member you miss out.
Unfortunately I’ve migrated to Facebook like most people.
Re: Does anyone use the Eesex forum ?
Well if it's a closed group then we can't be missing out on much, especially if they don't want to share the MG experience lol

Re: Does anyone use the Eesex forum ?
I think it is not just that: A closed group will never grow as new entries are not stimulated to join in but will decline and shrink during the years as the older members will stop at a time. I think this is more or less the general problem in the MGCC.Bigfootmgf wrote:Yes I know that's why I always post everything in both places and our facebook page is open!

Clear FB is an easy and open way to communicate and share thougths. But it is not suitable to keep information transparent and tracable.
Unforutunately I had to join FB in order to keep in touch with MG Friends (both international as national) but I really hate it.
(without focussing on the silly technical questions people drop on FB without checking out a decent forum.)
Sorry had to clear my mind about this worst invention ever.

Re: Does anyone use the Eesex forum ?
I sort of agree I only started using Facebook because of everyone else moving onto it!
If you also don't have a open group on Facebook and don't post here how do new people or even older members that haven't been on here for a bit find out anything!
Anyway I am sure they will work it out!

Several Cars from the Essex MGF Register were at the Eastbourne Magnificent Motors event last Saturday 29th April, I spoke to Adrian Clifford and other members, we the MX5 Owners Club had a display opposite them..

Been a while since I have been on here. Sad about the Essex scene - very active in the days of the Essex Roadsters, seems less so since the 'takeover' and name change to Essex MGF. I don't know why this is - personality clashes and cliques I suspect.

Andy & Adrian are still running a Essex mgf group I think mostly with there facebook page and email. They took it on as there was nothing much happening with the Essex roadsters.
But again the forum has been left to its own devices!
