The MG Car Club Ltd., Devon & Cornwall Centre have great pleasure in announcing that the Cornish Riviera Run for 2017 will take place on Sunday 10th September 2017. The run this year will have two starts: Plymouth Science Park or Bodmin Airfield at Cardinham. It will proceed to Callington, St Neot to Cardinham and stop for lunch at The Blue Anchor, Fraddon. After lunch proceed to Cornish Gold for cream teas. The route will be approx. 90 miles from Plymouth.

All vehicles entered will be provided with a traditional style rally plaque containing, the Vehicle entry number.

This year's run will take a different format. Following comments from Cornish members about the early start for them to get to Plymouth, this year there will be two starts, the earlier one in Plymouth and the later one from Bodmin Airfield, Cardinham.  Signing on at the Science Park will open at 8.30am and cars can leave in their own time to be away at the latest 9.30am.

There will be no judging or flagging off at Plymouth. Signing on at Bodmin will open at 10am and be joined by Plymouth starters for judging.  Bacon baps can be pre-ordered. Flagging off from 11am, all to be away by 11.30am. Pre-booked lunch at the Blue Anchor in Fraddon from 1pm to depart again by 2pm.  Cream teas at Cornish Gold, Tolgas Tin, Nr. Redruth from 3pm.  Prizes will be given at tea. The route comprises three roughly 30 miles sections for a total of about 90 miles.

Entry cards will be hand punched tickets at each stage. As with previous runs, all participating in the event will be encouraged to dress in the style to suit the age of their vehicle.

The entry fee offers terrific value as it includes cream teas for two, rally plaque and route book. There are a number of awards which will be presented at the end.

The event is open to all MG cars (regardless of age) and other makes of Vintage and Classic vehicles up to the 1980’s, so book early to avoid disappointment. A non-refundable administration fee of £10 is included in the entry fee. No refunds will be made after the closing date.

Please note the closing date of 15 Aug 2017 as the plaques have to be printed before August Bank holiday.
