Re: Mini-Meet / Run.... Sunday 30th Sept
Well, back home and I personally think we've found a new North Wales base
The owner of Petrolheads cafe is called Kevin, and is a genuinely nice bloke. He was eager to meet us, and despite his parents visiting he came to sit with us on three seperate occasions to see how we were. Staff were also unbelievably friendly, and despite the place being full of various bikers (both engine and human powered lol) it had a good vibe.
In short, he makes no apologies to the fact that he is basing Petrolheads on the legendary ACE cafe in London The same scale isnt quite there, but its raved about on biker forums and the first suggestion he make to us next time we came was "park the cars on the concrete out front so we could have them on display"
Andy and I liked the look of the place, and importantly Kevin wants stuff like this to WORK, and I get the impression he would bend over backwards to make stuff happen. With the winter months closing in, the goal is to get this place established as a regular meet place for the North, before cranking up some events etc as the light comes back to us
The North-West fix-it day happened to to have been organised on the same date, so that plus a few cancellations dwindled the numbers somewhat :rotflmao:
And I got to see what a green hood would look like - SOLD
All in all an enjoyable (if rain-covered!) trip, and a drink in the Cottage Loaf made it all the more worth it

Did you buy it off Andy ?
He looks like he has made a couple of quid lol.
The Fix-it-Day date was set up on Rovertech so just one of them things, I think I was the only person who was going to come to this and went there to sort my 400 out, don't think anyone else did.
Oh and it wasn't that good a day, found one of these on each side of the car.
The clean grey bit is the floor pan.
