Has Anyone got a Solution

Post by SimonT » Mon Dec 02, 2013 8:20 pm

Hi All, Has Anyone got a Solution to my problem. Changed distributor cap and rotor arm on my 97 MGF 1.8 the other week but the other night i had to go out in bad rain and spray, i had travelled about four miles when it started to cough and splutter then cut out, restarted but cut out again as soon as i put it under pressure. So after letting it tick over for about half an hour and weather clearing up was able to make it home.... My question is -- Is ther anyway to spray/seal the electric components that are open to element's ? i.e. Coil pack, Lead's, Distributor Cap ect .

Any helpful advise would be welcome
Thank you

First thing to come to my mind is WD-40, which stands for "Water Displacement, 40th formula", it is designed to repel water and prevent corrosion so I would spray on some of that pal. :D
