Clutch slipping

Post by buzzbar » Sun Jan 25, 2015 12:10 pm

Hello folks
I am starting to get clutch slip when I give the TF some heavy boot treatment.. Local garage won't touch it. Does anybody know anywhere in the Tameside/Stockport area? Would appreciate any advice, regards John.

Got in the car this morning after 2 months and clutch pedal went straight to the floor and wouldn't return. Pushed car forward and there is a pool of fluid on the floor. Will this be the slave cylinder? Any advice would be great as now can't move .

Get a Haynes for the Rover 100 from ebay for £5 and it'll give you a clue.

The lad came round and we stripped it apart, the slave cylinder was peeing out and the clutch arm was locked solid. Ordered a new cylinder and hopefully try and free the clutch arm off over the week.

Hi there
first off you should be posting this on the tech page not the north west as there is more people reading the tech pages
Secondly IF you need a mechanic there is one on this forum who comes to you MG ROVER SOLUTIONS
Lastly you should be able to move it by hand :thumbsu:
Bilstein dampers, 4-2-1 manifold, Head work by Sabre, stainless steel under floor pipes, MGMAINA moded alternator bracket, silicon hoses, Torque tamer, JAYLAD servo bracket, Pro race 1.2 wheels
