Sunday 10 August ~ Athelhampton House, MG Gathering

As we have done for the last few years we will be attending the MG Gathering at Athelhampton House (NE of Dorchester) organised by the Bournemouth & Poole MG Owners Club. If you've not been before information on the house can be found at http://www.athelhampton.co.uk/Welcome.html

This is a great day out where all cars attending park on the lawns of the house (Admission is £12 for car, driver & passenger which includes entry to the house) and you just relax in the beautiful surroundings, look round the house and admire approx 200 MGs. During the event I suspect there will be the annual duck race / raffle etc with proceeds going to local charities. Bring a picnic (very popular) or dine in the restaurant.

Hoping to drive across from West Sussex but in view of atrocious weather forecast for Sunday there'll probably be some very last minute decisions made on this one.

Going to be a lot of traffic Yeovil way due to Truck show, might head straight down through Sherborne from Wincanton.

Weather not looking to good at the moment, we'll wait and see what it's like tomorrow before making any final decision.
As there might be loads of traffic in Yeovil I think we'll do the same as Stux99. We could then meet the rest of you in the lay-by just outside Dorchester [ the one with the toilets] at around 10.45am.ish.

Hi guys, we are going to make a final decision in the morning too. If the weather looks bad we will have to give it a miss, don't think it'll be much fun with a nearly 10wk old & nearly 3year old in the rain. However, if the weather looks good then we will definitely be along & we will make our own way & meet you all there!! Fingers crossed!!
