We still hope to meet at the pub for lunch, it's just that Exmoor is not the best place to be when it snows.

If it is looking a bit snowy Sunday morning I'm most likely to be in the truck if we're still planning on chancing it.

Bare in mind this is the forecast for the closest monitoring station to Raleigh's Cross

Hi eveyone just seen predicted weather not looking good for exmoor dont want you guys to get stuck in minehead and exmoor. will have to make a decision tommorow wether to run. dam weather.

Thanks Brian, I've been keeping an eye on the weather and will do so throughout the day. Looks as though any snow should have stopped falling by the time we reach Minehead, but I guess it depends on our much falls and if it settles. The forecast seems to change from 1 hour to the next.... We were supposed to have snow at 6am this morning, but nothing, not even any rain.

There is an amber warning out for Sunday morning, would it be possible to put the run back to next weekend.

Not possible to move to next weekend Trev as it's the AGM and Chairman's Weekend. If we decide to cancel, we'll (provided Brian & Jean are available to lead) hold it on the 3rd Sunday of April and therefore switch to the 3rd Thursday a month later than planned.

Road conditions on exmoor and the minehead area deteriate very quickly and also the roads from bridgewater and taunton to minehead suffer badly , Ialso feel i should give raleghs cross and the hobby horse as much notice as possible to cancel. We would likle to organise this run again in the future we will have to look at dates that will suit.
Who would of thought we would be suffering from weather like this in mid march.

It's been snowing steadily in Minehead since 11am, although very fine and light, it's not until tonight it's supposed to really settle in
