Sunday 12th August – Athelhampton House Garden Party and Picnic

As we have done for the last few years we will be attending the MG Gathering at Athelhampton House (NE of Dorchester) organised by the Bournemouth & Poole MG Owners Club. If you've not been before information on the house can be found at http://www.athelhampton.co.uk/

This is a great day out where all cars attending park on the lawns of the house (Admission is £15 for car, driver & passengers or £10 per car and driver which includes entry to the house) and you just relax in the beautiful surroundings, look round the house and admire approx 200 MGs. During the event I suspect there will be the annual duck race / raffle etc with proceeds going to local charities. Bring a picnic (very popular) or dine in the restaurant.

Will decide in the morning what to do. Not going to be much fun pushing Bev around if tis wet

What a shame! The forecast isn't looking too good. If it's wet we'll probably stay local. Not much fun having a picnic in the rain We've already tried that just recently at the Donkey Sanctuary. The Camerton Car Show just up the road might be a suitable alternative for us in the wet! Carry on without us if we're not at Neil and Julie's by 10.00am. Fingers crossed the Met Office have got it wrong.
