Sunday 11th August – Athelhampton House Garden Party and Picnic

As we have done for a number of few years we will be attending the MG Gathering at Athelhampton House (NE of Dorchester) organised by the Bournemouth & Poole MG Owners Club. If you've not been before, information on the house can be found at http://www.athelhampton.co.uk/

This is a great day out where all cars attending park on the lawns of the house (Admission is £15 for car, driver & passengers which includes entry to the house) and you just relax in the beautiful surroundings, look round the house and admire approx 200 MGs. During the event I suspect there will be the annual duck race / raffle etc with proceeds going to local charities. Bring a picnic (very popular) or dine in the restaurant.

This may be your last chance to attend this great event as the house and grounds are being sold.

Meet at 10.00am at Morrisons in Yeovil.

Names please. Thanks

Nigel

We'll put our Somerset & Dorset plaques on the bonnets to identify our cars. Will be good to meet you.

Its a shame this may be the last one, does anyone know what the new owners intentions are as yet?

Glorious day today, I looked for you guys but to no avail.
Were you on the front lawn, we were around the back.

Yes we were on the front lawn. Thought that was your car, but no sign of you each time we walked by.

Oh such a shame, I thought that was you guys.
Did you not see a tall guy walk by a few times wearing a waistcoat, that was me. ;)
