General Chit Chat - Somerset & Dorset

Post by nigelandjo » Sat Dec 06, 2008 7:48 am

Thought I'd start a new thread for general chit chat, so thet we can keep it all in one place instead of spreading it around the other threads, which will help keep them on topic.

So I'd like to be first to wish you all a very Happy Christmas.

We had three PICOO single rotor helicopters buzzing the living room over Xmas. They do conflict a bit when flying close/ cross signal, but
it was a real hoot, kept us amused for hours. Quite a difference in sensitivity between each one. Next stop is the double rotor Chinnook then on into
a bigger bu.....er to fly out doors.

Did anyone catch James May and 'Toys for boys' the other night? Never grow up seems to be the message! Dinkies, Meccano, Triang, Doublo trains and Leggo, they were all covered. Pete Waterman even owns a train production engineering company, wow. and a huge layout in his loft!

Hi All.

I had a Auto Glym car cleaning kit in a carry case, (Hollie thinks it's great, I can now clean her TF when we visit her in Wincanton). that's what she thinks.

Joo had a Sony E Reader, to keep her quiet!

All the best for the New Year.

Neil,

You'll have to keep the polishing kit in the garage, not in the car so that you don't have it with you when you go to see Hollie :)

Have a great New Year everyone. See you in 2009!

Happy New Year!

I'm liking 2009's sun so far but the temperature reading in deg c could do with an additional "2" in front of it! )eg 22 degC not 2!)

ZS now plastered in salt after a few days back home in Cornwall - long tailback where A30 met M5 this afternoon - meant i could eat my pasty before I go back to Bristol though ;)

Happy New Year everyone...! :) Not so happy for me as I was 42 yesterday :( Don't worry, I won't hold it against you all that no one wished me a 'happy burpday' or sent me expensive bouquets of oriental lillies...!!! LMAO!

So anyone else been braving the elements with hood down action? I had a fab hood down drive last Sunday (very well wrapped up against the chill) and another again today from home to a spot of shopping in Yeovil and back home in the twilight...paying for it now as its triggered my TN but it was dry and bright and just had to be done...!

Anyone want to come and clean my TF? She's looking very sorry for herself now...
