Yes thanks Nigel for organising that great day and great company. Pub meal fantastic value and choice.

Nice sedate ride home, with Joo dozing in the back.

Joo: Thought it would be a bit tedious, but have to admit thoroughly enjoyed it. :D Although Nelly complained about garlic from me so had to drive home from Burnham with windows down.

See you all on Thursday night.

Glad you all got home safely. Perhaps we should have tried the M5 instead of the scenic route! :)

Well worth the early start. Great to share the day with those members joining us from outside the West of England region. Hope it was worth your long journeys.

See you all soon.

Thanks for organising the visit and thanks again for allowing one other non WOE member join you, she thoroughly enjoyed the tour and now has a much better insight into how a car is produced. I am pleased the pub turned out to be to your taste, it would seem everyone enjoyed what they had even though the ploughmans lunch may have been a bit small :-) I am sure cheese salad sandwiches for supper will go down well in one household. As Colin commented it was a pity that some of the party decided to eat elsewhere.

Perhaps we should consider some form of fund raising event for the RNLI? I think the main F register run next year will have all profits donated to the RNLI.

That sounds good Nigel. Do you mean us to organise something or join in with the main F reg events?
I was surprised at the amount raised at Longbridge, esp if that included the "auction" proceeds.

the bids were low this time. I paid £40 for a framed V8 ZTT pic on the day of the V8 tour.

It all helps though, you need both big and small stones to build a stone wall!

It's still £50+ that they wouldn't have got if it wasn't for Ian's auction / collection pot on the day.

Both possibly, dependant on where the main MGF Register event is. We could arrange a road run and throw it open to other regions ~ I have possible start and end locations in mind, but would need to investigate the implications like getting an RAC permit, police clearance etc and of course agreement from the locations. It's something for us to ponder over the next few months and discuss at a meeting.

Some news from the Midlands! According to press(Central TV), Longbridge is in trouble and may close for a "few months" due to poor sales and the recession. :( :(

I suspect its a media twist - we already knew that production was coming to an end soon, as all of the 2009 cars have just about been built already.
