As we have done for the last few years we will be attending the MG Gathering at Athelhampton House (NE of Dorchester)(if you're a film buff, this is the house which Michael Caine drove up to in an MGB at the start of Sleuth ~ and you might see the actual MGB as it's now owned by the owner of Athelhampton House) organised by the Bournemouth & Poole MG Owners Club. This is a great day out where all cars attending park on the lawns of the house (if I recall correctly admission is £10 for car, driver & passenger which includes entry to the house) and you just relax in the beautiful surroundings, look round the house and admire approx 200 MGs. During the event I suspect there will be the annual duck race / raffle etc with proceeds going to local charities. Bring a teddy bear for the Teddy Bears picnic ~ although I still don't know the theme. Bring a picnic (very popular) or dine in the restaurant. We'll arrange a meeting point (or two) once we know who's going so that we can arrive and park together. Names please ladies and gentlemen!
