Access to engine bay 1997 MGF
I would like to gain access to the engine, I understand it is via the hood below the rear screen and not sure just what to remove to gain same.Mel Baxter.

Simples
Undo clips at bottom of rear screen ace ion from inside the car behind the seats.
Pull bottom of hood from groove, this may be stiff if its not been moved in a long time, and fold up to hood roof section. Find something to keep it up, I use a long bungee strap of the wipers.
Remove shelf carpet.
Undo the bolts around the cover and there's the engine.
If you use google you can find this information and more on the how to sections of other forums.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
There are 10 bolts in all, 3 maybe hidden under the trim at the back of the seats.
