Hi, I am trying to get an alternator off an MGF with no success. Basically it has seized, and finding it very difficult to take it off.

If anyone could advise or help me out, then please give me a shout.

Thanks

Paul from Filey

Hi
Just had the same problem last week.
Give the bolts/nuts a good soak with wd40.
Found it impossible to remove the belt adjusting nut so removed the nut/bolt at the other end of the adjusting
Bracket as the access is a lot easier.
Cheers
Dave

Hi and welcome.

They can be a mare but as above, soak the nuts in WD40 or similar.
