Hello there,
After a year of cruising and blissful driving I have come to that time of year motorists dread - MOT time!
My Mgf 1.8 VVC (S reg) has failed on emissions test. The test station says that there is too much Oxygen in the emission, I didn't realise that would be a problem, surely more oxygen in the world would be a good thing? lol
The garage says they are looking for an air leak but are having difficulty due to access to the engine.
They have phoned me today to say they can't find the problem, can you recommend a garage close to me that understands the Mgf please? I'm in York but willing to travel to get the problem fixed and a new MOT certificate.
Hope to hear from you all soon,
Paul.

Hi, I dont have a garage but I am an MG Rover trained technician and I have my own T4. It sounds like it could be a O2 sensor problem or an issue with the VVC timing . Please PM me,if you would like me to take a look and run it through testbook.I am in west yorkshire.
Regards
Chris

^^ Chris has helped me out greatly in the past.
I'll highly recommend contacting him. What he doesn't know about MG-R isn't worth knowing!
