We're overnighting in Ashford on the Wednesday & then intend crossing Dover - Dunkirk on the 08:00, not sure of the return ferry time yet.

We'll be doing the usual, 16.00 ferry Dover to Dunkerque on the Wed night then overnighting at the Campanile Loon Plage ready for a leisurely 9.30 start on the Thursday morn.
As I am celebrating a landmark birthday that week we are contemplating having a few days at the Hotel am Hafen in Cochem after the Sun night in Blankenburg instead of returning home

We're sorry everyone, but Justin's hours got cut at work a few weeks ago and having sat down and done the calculations, we're not going to be able to afford the expense of the trip, so will have to drop out. All this after spending lots of money on the TF to make it roadworthy for foreign travel too!!!

Returning to Blankenberg to overnight on the Sunday. Moving on to Schwarzwald on Monday and then onto Lake Como on Wednesday for 5 nights. No plans yet confirmed for eventually coming home.

NEWS!!!

I have updated the homepage. Now you can see the activities we have planned. Also there is a link to google where you are hopefully able to see the routes. Roadbook and navigation data (Garmin, TomTom, Navigon, e.g ) I will update soon.

Meeting point at each day will be the Park and Ride Parkplatz in Waldlaubersheim. Be reminded to leave the hotel soon, because there are some traffic lights near the hotel. We will drive in three convoiy / groups.

A short route-description:
Friday will be a short trip through the Soonwald
Saturday wie will drive across the Hunsrück to the Mosel then across the Hunsrück to the Rhine where we will have a look at the Marksburg . The Marksburg is the only Burg of the "Mittelrheintal" that has never been destroyed and so is absolutely worth a visit.
On Sunday our route leads us to the Donnersberg. There we will take a short walk to a lookout point from which we have a great view over the country we had driven through the days before.
