Claude is organising a table in Larochette for 16 of us on Sunday night, we're not going to the Portuguese restaurant but the one in town we used in 2009. If you don't want to go please let him know.

Dawn is brilliant at navigating, however when she navigates I drive and I can't take pictures :(

thankyou Claude :thumbsu:

Pearl's packed, washed and raring to go.

There's car parts in it as usual and, along with Dave the Bear, Flat Eric's in too.

Hopefully, there's room for Dawn and I and a bag or two  .

Hi all,

Buzby is not well! Following a fantastic event now stuck in Luxembourg with mechanical problems. Have put a call into Russell to see if we can get things back on the move. Thanks to everyone for their help and time in trying to get Buzby back on the road and for Guy for the use of his V8 ZTT and trailer. Car now at hotel and holiday in tatters! :-(

Stu.

We're home safe and well too but let's all spare a thought for Stu and Mel who remain stranded in Luxembourg with a very sick Trophy. We tried our hardest to fix it there but we could not as we suspect there could be valve damage as the timing appears to have slipped, a shame as Stu had new belts and water pump fitted before he left for the Tour, the dowels pins appear to have fallen out as the flywheel was loose.

I'll ask here and in General, does anybody have a trailer I can borrow as it's possible Dawn and I will go to Luxembourg on Friday and bring them and the car home by using the trailer.

There are a number of potential issues regarding the failed units but I'm not going to go into that here, it's not the place but I don't really have the time to tow it all the way from Luxembourg to Yorkshire, can anybody take it from the M25 area up north ?. We'll be in the UK late on Friday night travelling up the M20 towards Essex. Stu and Mel can stay with us on Friday night, we have a busy weekend planned with two events to go to but if we need to we will cancel them and continue the tow Saturday. I can collect and return the trailer if it's nearby, I can hire one for around £75 but I'm asking our community if anybody can help to save Stu and Mel more expense.

Thanks to Pascal, Eric, Claude and Danielle for their organisation and help over the weekend. Thanks to Guy for towing the stranded car from Echternach to the Hotel de la Poste in Larochette and to Bruno and Claus for trying to fix the car in the first place.

So many people stayed after the event to offer help even though we all missed evening dinner (the impromptu Chinese was very nice though) even Maria in the hotel stayed up to provide hugs and beer when we finally arrived and she kindly arranged a table for us in the Chinese restaurant.

Looking forward to the 2014 event already :thumbsu:

Oh bugger, I have only learned about Stu&Mel's mishap this morning from Klaus on the phone. I do hope everything can be sorted without too many costs, with the holiday plans going down the drain this is tough enough indeed! Please be sure my family's and my thoughts are with you now.

Still it was a great weekend, good to see all of you again and really looking forward to meeting most of you in Bingen and then on the Niederrhein in late September.

Photos (about 500 of them) not yet sorted, but I will add them to my dropbox and post the link here.
