Hi everybody,

unfortunately there aren't too many details about the tour apart from the dates Colin has already published in the headline and the main theme for the weekend. This year we had coal and culture, for next year I plan to put the focus on "the British on the Rhine" - and don't you think this starts in 1945!

From what I know now, the tour will be centred a bit further to the north (the "proper" Niederrhein area) and run across the border into the Netherlands. Like this year, there will be an early bird meeting on Friday afternoon, a roadbook run with a couple of challenges on Saturday and a convoy to a very special place on Sunday. Which won't be in Germany at all, this is the only thing I know now about the routes.

A new web site will be up early in January with a summary of this year's tour and a registration page for 2013 as well, you will find the link here.

I know 2012 Niederrhein Tour was a lot of Fun, and that's enough for me to want to take part in your 2013 tour

Well, the web site has finally been put together (well, sort of-ish ) and at least the maps and pics from last year's tour are online.

The registration for 2013 is not yet open, but this will be finalised shortly, when I have found a suitable hotel.

Two news, first the slightly problematic one: The date for the tour had to be shifted to the weekend before, the hotel was completely booked out. We will now be going on our tour from 20-22 September 2013.

The good news is: Registration is now online! Book quickly, as there are only 13 rooms available. If I receive more registrations, there will be a plan B.

Michael, I've filled out the registration form but :

There's a section empty that needs filling out that says "registration"

The bit that says "double room with ??", what goes in there ?

The new date is good for us as it's in the middle of Dawn's two weeks off but it clashes with the Anglia Centre's AGM and committee meeting. Dave's the chairman and I know he's thinking about coming so we'll have to look at changing the date.

The "registration" field is for the car’s registration (for me to provide the personalised road books). I have yours, so don't worry, but I have updated the page to clarify.

"Double with" indicates that someone comes on his/her own but wants to share a double room with someone else. I have added this option as there are just 2 single rooms available and it is cheaper also to share. Also added an explanation there.
