While heading back to my place on Sunday, we went through the Roer Tunnel near Roermond, a 2.5 kilometre long motorway tunnel. We simply couldn't resist ... luckily Jürgen managed to catch a short sequence:

The tunnel has now officially been renamed the roar tunnel (or Röhr-Tunnel in German).

Well done again Mykel, I know how much effort you put in to this event and I can tell you it was right there at the top.

We didn't leave the bar in town (where you saw us) until 01.15 then we played billiards in the hotel until gone 2 o'clock, so for us it wasn't noisy.

I'll do a write up with pictures for FasTForward, do you subscribe ?, if not 1,,you should and 2,,I'll scan the pages for you.

I'll send a disc of pictures to you from the tour and MGFIM later this week, can you pm me your address, I'm sure I have it somewhere. Were all of your parts I brought over OK ?

See you in December :thumbsu:

Now I know what the noise was that woke me up at 02:00 ... it was the fun loving, beer fueled billiard players trying to get upstairs and to their rooms while telling each other to be quiet. The hotel hadn't been noisy for us up until then either.

Oops, sorry John I guess you make more noise telling the others to be quiet. A few struggled to get up those stairs though  .

No real problem - I had slept the night before. The stairs were a bit tricky - narrow, steep, twisty, open on one side, no handrail ... Saved me setting an alarm.

Sorry for the delayed reply, work kept me quite busy this week ...

A writeup in FTF would be gorgeous, Adrian, and yes, I have a running subscription. It's kind of a must as an MGCC UK member I think.

Parts look pretty good as well, I do hope to drop the piston in on Sunday. Just have to crawl under the car and drop the sump - argh!

Planning stage for NRT '14 has now started, we had coal, we had the Brits, so now for something completely different ... 8-)
