Thank you Kjeld! Jepp, a late thank you for Tylstrup Kro, a nice weekend!
The Castrol drum is safe in my garage. Now I have oil for long time.
Would be great if you could join the tour, Lars and Kim also!!

This could be a trip for us next year but may not extend to the EEOTY. There are a couple of thoughts in the mix and would like to pop to Sweden over the bridge as we are "in the area"!!
Will keep in the loop

Re: Aug 2014 Pre EEOTY (Denmark) Norway Tour
Simple Stu, either on the way up or down head for Copenhagen airport and the road to the Oresund passes under the runway. Continue in the tunnel until you come up in the middle of the water (the Oresund strait), follow the road across the bridge and you're nearly there. Call in to Malmo for a visit and return the same way. Don't forget it's a toll crossing so have money or card ready.
We've done the crossing a couple of times now so we'll stay in Norway the whole time except the drive from Esbjerg to Hirtshals and vv on the way back.
You'll enjoy it that's for sure. Lot's of traffic though, speed cameras too so the tunnel's not that much fun, it's quite large so the acoustics aren't that good either but coming up from a tunnel straight on to a bridge across the strait is a lovely sight. Trains even run alongside the bridge parallel to you.

Re: Aug 2014 Pre EEOTY (Denmark) Norway Tour
We would have loved to do this trip however we have come to the time in life when we have stopped doing whistle stop tours and limit to +/- 250 miles a day and two nights stops.
Last year we drove to Southampton and let P&O drive us to the Fjords including Geiranger.
If near Copenhagen, it is well worth a visit to the City. In order to avoid the City Traffic, we previously stayed at a hotel on the eastern coast several miles south of the City and took the train in.

Re: Aug 2014 Pre EEOTY (Denmark) Norway Tour
Good advice Geoff, we done a similar thing last year in Holland. After the first Niederrhein Tour we visited Floriade and spent another day visiting a few Dutch towns on the way to the ferry. We parked outside town and took the park and ride bus in and out, cost....a few Euros, in fact cheaper than parking in town and no traffic hassle.

Copenhagen is a great stopover with the old harbour area and tivoli gardens well worth a visit
Fallenberg in Sweden is a nice stop as well with hotels right on the beachfront. I know it's different things for different people, but I enjoyed my lazy couple of says there on my return from Norway last year after EEOTY Sweden

Was that the hotel we used on the 2006 SMGM, it was right on the beach.

Thanks for the info Adrian. It's always been on the list to drive through/over. Can't think of anything better than to do this with the roof down!
I think that you can put us on the provisional list for this event. Eric can't wait to see his girlfriend again!

You certainly will, on every trip we've loved Scandinavia.
On this trip besides the scenery, eating out in the open, buying our own food and drinks will make this exceptional.
