most of us have been totally unaware of the growing problem that Steffi has faced with part of this event.

As the size of the group has continually grown the harder and harder it has been to find a restaurant in Cologne Centre that would be happy to take a group of approx 40 of us on Saturday evening.

We could of gone back to Blankenberg, as Peter would happily of accomadeted us, but most of the local Koln group would not have wanted to drive from Koln to Blankenberg and back for a meal, and Steffi did not want to split the group up!

Cologne is that busy with the Christmas Markets that many places are not interested in group booking as they know that there is so much passing trade that they can probably turn tables quicker without us!

Today, the final last Cologne option came back to Steffi with a positive "YES!"

You really have no idea how relieved Steffi is now about that!

We had snow last year at the Xmast do in Heidelberg

Here´s a quick update for the Xmas do:

We will take a hired bus to Cologne city centre on the Saturday around midday. Costs for that will be € 12,- per person
In the evening I organized a Buffet with some Cologne Specialties in the "Reissdorf Brauhaus am Dom" :

Starters:
Black pudding, spiced minced meat and dutch cheese with bread
Potato salad
salad buffet with 2 different dressings

Main couse:
Goulash soup
Joint meat in a cologne beer sauce and fried potatoes
Smoked pork chop with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut

Desert:
"Armer Ritter" (can´t be translated)
Fruit salad
Orange mousse with fruit sauce

The buffet costs are € 25,- per person without drinks.

We will take the bus back to the hotel afterwards.

I will collect the money before we drive to Cologne as I have to pay the buffet together for all of us.
Everyone will pay the drinks separately.
