We use 185/55R15 Marangoni.from http://www.mytyres.co.
Do you have big front brakes ??? This is the MGR size iaw the C of C for my car (Swiss Export). A 2nd set of 15in wheels come very cheap these days. Snow Chains CANNOT be used on the 16in wheels and since it is often Mandatory to carry them in Switzerland,it is pointless if you cannot use them.
I trust that you will go on this trip particularly with there not being a UK Christmas party.
Geoff F.
I have 16" wheels and big(ish) Chinese calipers.

Germanwings are showing Stansted - Cologne Friday 07.55 - 10.05, Monday 19.25 - 19.35 for £73.44 per person. it's the cheapest I can find at the moment, it appears Ryanair and Easyjet don't serve Cologne.
Bilstein shocks, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, Daytona, Vader cold-air induction, custom Z and F Stage 2 re-map, Electric boot release, braided hoses, Blue Magnecor leads, Technozen relays, Stage 1 head, BMW Angel Eyes headlights, "MG" puddle lights.

Easyjet DO Adrian, but as I already said, from Gatwick. 8-)

me, Easyjet from Gatwick or Germanwings from Heathrow Adrian. 8-)

I just did not want people Misinterpreting what you wrote, as it could be read that you were saying that Easyjet don't fly to Cologne from any airport ;)
Steffi will confirm I a sure, but I should think a taxi / public transport could get you from cologne airport to Blankenberg and back at around those times

Steffi, if we fly in (four of us possibly) how do we get to and from the airport and to the markets and zoo ?

If it's a problem we made need to look at driving.

We have booked the hotel for three nights :thumbsu:

From memory, there's a train from airport to Hennef, nearby Blankenberg then taxi I guess

I think train was the option for Saturday / Sunday as well, but Steffi will correct me if need be

If you drive, winter tyres are a good idea, last year it was snowing during this weekend

Hope that helps :thumbsu:

Hey Adrian,
if you fly to Cologne I will arrange something to get you to the hotel and back.
We will take the train or a hired bus to get to the Christmas markets on Saturday.
So no need to worry. Just let me know what you decide to use, car or plane :-)

Gea and I will be joining you for this event. Never been to the Xmas markets in Germany although there are tons of daytrips every year from Holland.

We will arrive on Friday and leave on Monday by Renault Clio.
